Which do you find more helpful to your work life balance? Spending a quiet evening in a hotelroom or having the house to yourself?
I find both appealing and I know lots of other women do, too. In fact, a recent Hilton Garden Inn survey found that women still find it challenging to juggle work and personal life needs. Heck, 67 percent confessed to wanting their significant others to go away on business trips just so they could have time to themselves.
Having time to myself at home or even renting a hotel room for a weekend staycation every now and then provides the ideal opportunity to catch up on some much needed me time. Sometimes, that means watching movies or TV shows I enjoy but my husband doesn’t. My night to myself may also include plowing through the stack of unread magazines I have on my nightstand or just lounging by the pool with a good book.
I find complete, uninterrupted immersion in entertainment of my choice, extremely relaxing after a busy work week.
